Los Abuelos Mexican Grill

We had an awesome dinner! Our server Sonny was the Bomb Dot Come! He made sure our experience was amazing! We'll sure come back here for more great food and excellent service! Thank you, Sonny and many blessings!

Last night my girlfriend and I went in around 5-6pm and did a walk in. The very friendly and kind hostess working had no issue with cleaning off a booth for us when I asked if we could have one. She had us wait a brief period while whipping down a booth and making sure it was clean for us. Our waitress Ms. Kim was very friendly and gave us plenty of time to review the menu. I did not get the name of the gentleman who as soon as we sat down brought us chips and salsa but I really appreciated that so thank you mystery man. My girlfriend had the chicken fijitas and I had the callerjo burrito ( I maybe miss spelling that I apologize). Both of our meals were very filling and delicious. This is my second time here in about a month or two period and I know it will be a must go to spot at least once a month.

We are in town for a conference and decided to eat here. Our server Brandon was great. The food was delicious and came out fast. My wife had a burrito and I had the speedy. Since we are in town all week, we will be coming back here to eat again. The place itself was really cool as well. One of the nicer Mexican restaurants we have been in.

Busy Saturday night and food was delicious!! Service was great and lots of great art work! When they are on a wait you can do a quick trip over to Kroger!!

I walked in to a happy and friendly atmosphere. Tepenga, the bartender, was one of the nicest I’ve ever met. I asked her for a recommendation for food and she stated “the quesabirria tacos”. I was hesitant because I have had bad luck with birria tacos. However, Tepenga convinced me and I went for it. I will say, without a doubt, they were the best I have ever had, maybe the best I will ever have in my life. When they arrived at the table I couldn’t believe my eyes, they looked like the pictures!!! Thank you Tepenga for making a long day of travel wrap up on a very positive note.

Y’all know I love good Mexican food! I remembered this relatively new restaurant not far from where we live, so off we went! Arrived at about 5:30ish and there were only a few people ahead of us. We got seated fairly quickly and our server, Albany appeared. We chatted a few minutes and I got practice my Spanish! Albany is very personable, and she knew everything (and I do mean Everything about the menu, and their menu is BIG)! I asked several questions (never having been there before) and based on her recommendations I got a 10 oz frozen Margy. It was excellent! (Y’all, you can go up to a 20 oz but I’m a short woman, and decided this would Not be the kind of place to dance on the table! We started with their chips and salsa. Chips were good, but I don’t care for pulverized salsa, I like it a little more chunky, but it was ok. I ordered the Tacos Campechanos (18.99) it has chorizo, fried chicharron, queso fresco and cilantro. First, let me say that this is a chain. It’s an Americanized version, it’s NOT authentic. That being said, the beef was tender, but lacked a whole lot of flavor. The chicharron (fried skin) didn’t add any flavor, and I didn’t feel like the crunchy texture added any depth to the taco. I love refried beans if they’re done correctly, and these were really good. We started with ceviche (if it’s done right, it’s fantastic) and here at Abuelo’s, it was perfect!! Although, I wished it had shrimp in it, it was still delicious! As the restaurant filled up quickly Ms. Albany continued to stop at our table to check on us and asked if we needed anything. She was on it! Some servers just understand and have a great sense of timing. I don’t know, maybe that’s something you’re born with, cuz if you have a server that forgets you exist every time they walk away from your table, you know it! We’ll absolutely go back, and I will request being seated in her section!

Amazing food! Are server Sophia was amazing very sweet and great service. Manger came by and made sure everything was good. Would definitively recommend .

Los Abuelos was a very good! My server was Sonny and he was very helpful. He knew everything on the menu and gave great suggestions! It was so when I arrived, but got busy during my time there and he made sure to check in very often. I had brisket chimichanga and a Cadillac Texas margarita That brisket was good and the margarita was strong! It was very aesthetically pleasing inside as well. Sonny advised me of the many special nights they have during the week like margarita night, beer night, etc. I'll definitely be back. If you're ever in Cobb county make sure to check it out. He also let me know the lunch and dinner portions are the same size, just cheaper at lunch!
